"I—" she began, blinking, and then let out her breath through her nose instead of using it for further speech. It took her another moment of faltering, mouth open, before she could decide on exactly how to reply.
"I don't know," she admitted. She was obviously unsettled at the prospect, yet her expression had gone intense with scrutiny. "Is anything that crazy after this place? Sure, it definitely sounds crazy but… it's all about context, right? There are alien people here. Are they crazy? Maybe I'm the crazy one with my family life in Southside if everybody else is going to other planets or fighting Godzilla."
Fiona regarded the guy a moment, eyes narrowed. He hadn't flinched or faltered at all.
"Jesus," she said, apparently deciding to believe him. "So, what, you train King Kong?"
