Bella smiled and used a little of the breath she'd been holding to answer the kind woman. Even though she knew she didn't have to hide what she was here - wherever they were, it was well outside the Volturi's reach - she still used the rough voice she'd perfected around her father. Some humans were too started by her vampire one.
