"Usually I check," he admits. "I wait and I check and if it's safe, I go through, but it was the front door," he complains again, thinking that it's going to keep coming up. "Some things are supposed to be safe." Plus, it's not like there was a neon sign telling him to watch out. He'd just walked through and bam, instant change. "Prom?" he echoes.
