One of the nicest things about this place is that they've got the time. They can take everything at their own pace, even if they're not sure what that pace is right now. For a split second when she pulls away, she'll catch a glimpse of the raw, hungry look in his eyes. It's replaced by a look of concern, of worry that he's done something wrong. He slides his hand back up her arm to brush his knuckles along her cheekbone, that worried look going away to be replaced by a soft, crooked smile.

"I know. Me too." He's nervous for so many reasons. He's nervous about her seeing his leg, he's nervous about pushing her too far, he's nervous about how their relationship is changing. He's nervous about doing this right in both a physical sense and an emotional sense.

"We can stop anytime you'd like." He nods his head toward the bank of the pond where he's set things up. "We can go back up there, wrap up in a blanket and I'll just hold you, if that's what you want." A smirk tugs at his lips. "This is not your surprise either," he teases her.
