"If I remember," Loki said, which was, really, the best he could promise. For him, promises didn't really hold much weight - he was a liar, and he liked to lie, but only when it suited him. Just then, it didn't. It was strange; the more contained and steady in himself he became, the more truths seemed to fall from his lips. These days he had no urge to play a part, to keep to a certain character anymore, and it made him less liable to fashion himself into someone at the expense of anyone else. It also allowed him to be calmer, less introverted - possibly even less malicious.
