Nebari. It's not a species she's ever heard of but, then again, is there any other humanoid species on earth aside from human? Even if you believe in the occasional Neanderthal throwback (which Cosima does, she so does - life always finds a way) the idea that she's faced with a new species that is possibly of extraterrestrial origin is mind-boggling to her.
